Director of Policy & Advocacy
Imani Webb-Smith(she/her), J.D., is the Director of Policy and Advocacy at Women’s Community Justice Association. Imani joins WCJA with over ten years of experience in racial and social justice work. Prior to joining WCJA, Imani worked on a number of landmark bills, including New York’s recently passed Adult Survivors Act and Less Is More: Community Supervision Revocation Act. Imani also worked at the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), the nation’s largest nonprofit reentry employment provider; helping to bring the program to scale nationwide, establish its advocacy and organizing department, and expand employment opportunities for people with conviction histories. Imani holds a law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Comparative English Literature from the University of San Francisco. In her free time, you can find her listening to Mariah Carey and watching Real Housewives.
